Founded in Frome, Somerset in 1983. Formerly Frome Hire Centre.
Moved to larger premises in 1991.
Acquired Warminster Branch in 1994. Formerly T H Tool Hire.
Then known as FHC Hire Centres.
In October 2007 FHC was acquired by the Sydenham Group, Rick Biddiscombe was appointed General Manager/Director for the hire centres.
May 2008 name changed to SYDENHAMS HIRE CENTRES.
Acquired Ryde Branch (Isle of White) Formerly KN Tool Hire in November 2008.
Acquired Mitchell Hire and Sales in December 2008. Giving the group another four locations: Dorchester, Weymouth, Swanage and Blandford.
